This standalone processor is part of the Modicon M580 range, a family of Safety Programmable Automation Controllers (PACs) and Safety Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) with integrated Ethernet. It supports a maximum configuration of 8 local racks and 31 remote racks, with up to 37,888 discrete I/O channels and 9,472 analog I/O channels.

It is designed to operate in harsh environments, at temperatures ranging from -25°C to +70°C.

This controller can help hybrid manufacturers achieve a better, measurable, and faster return on investment, potentially reaching 100% of their project investment in less than three months.

It is equipped with 1 Ethernet port for service, 2 Ethernet ports for the remote I/O ring network (remote I/O racks only), and 1 Mini-B USB port for the programming console.

It features 64 MB of integrated RAM for the program, 10 KB for system memory, 4 GB of expandable Flash memory for data storage, 16 MB for program safety, and 1,024 KB for safety data.

It offers an MTBF of 718,494 hours. The module is red and measures 64 × 130 × 135 mm.

This module meets the requirements of applications in transportation, water and wastewater, consumer packaged goods, mining, minerals, metals, power generation, energy and chemicals, and data centers.

It complies with CE, UL, CSA, RCM, EAC, UKCA, ATEX/IECEx Zone 2/22, and TÜV/IEC 61508/SIL3 standards and is certified for power generation, marine, railway, and hazardous area applications.

This processor is compatible with Modicon X80 and Quantum remote I/O racks.

The CPU must be installed in the rack positions marked 00 and 01, using 2 screws on top of the CPU to secure the module to the rack.

This product can be used with Modicon X80 (I/O, backplane, cable) and operates with EcoStruxure Control Expert programming software.
